Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain audio processing and streaming features for the web client. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audio functionalities with other web services and features. Optimize audio performance for low latency, high fidelity, and efficiency across different browsers and devices. Implement audio effects, noise suppression, echo cancellation, and other DSP (Digital Signal Processing) techniques. Stay up to date with emerging web audio technologies and standards to continuously improve our audio capabilities. Debug and resolve audio-related issues reported by users or identified through testing. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with industry best practices. Participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and mentor junior engineers.

What we're looking for:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Signal Processing, Software Engineering, a related field, or a foreign degree equivalent. Must have 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupation. Must have 4 years of experience in:

• Software engineering with a focus on audio applications in a web environment;
• Web technologies including JavaScript and Web Audio API;
• Utilizing C++ in web assembly;
• Cross-browser development and debugging;
• Real-time audio processing and streaming protocols;
• WebRTC and developing real-time communication applications; and
• Front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Position does not require domestic or international travel.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$180,000.00

Maximum:

$228,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
