Wave’s agency division (Wave Media Agency) also holds partnerships with 100& rights holders and sports properties, providing always-on programming to followers of the internet's largest and most engaged social communities.

Wave Media Agency is looking for a talented and passionate Social Media Producer/Editor to help run day-to-day content production for one of our key sports media partners. You’ll be responsible for sourcing, producing, editing, and publishing social-first video content across multiple platforms, with a strong focus on short-form content and timely storytelling tied to the world of basketball, hockey, baseball, and more. The ideal candidate is a fast-moving producer/ editor with a sharp eye for trends, standout plays, and viral moments.

Responsibilities:

• Produce, edit & publish high volume of short-form video content & graphics.
• Source highlights and social media content from a variety of sports to build engaging, viral content pieces.
• Package video assets, and edit footage into compelling and visually-appealing social media storytelling videos that align with current trends and audience preferences.
• Add social editing optimizations to enhance video product to optimize opportunities for video virality
• Adhere to brand guidelines and social media platform specifications to ensure consistent and optimized video content.
• Oversee account management for including community management.
• Create and manage a forward-looking content calendar in line with the sports calendar and breaking news moments.

Qualifications:

• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually-compelling video content
• A strong understanding of different social media platforms
• Extensive knowledge and strong interest in a wide range of sports across different eras
• Proficiency in video editing and graphic designing software (i.e. Adobe Suite)
• Creative and proactive approach to tasks, with effective communication skills and willingness to bring your own creativity to video edits.
• A creative mindset paired with a strong work ethic to be able to adapt to new video editing capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware.
• The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately.
• Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours.
• Able to work full-time M-F and nights and weekends as needed.
• Due to the cyclical nature of the sports and entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules, including game nights, to reflect the business needs of the company
• The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment
• The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office.

If this contract is categorized as a Remote opportunity above, we may support remote work for contractors who reside in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, DC, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas.
