Social & Community Management Lead- Vaseline:
The Social & Community Management Lead serves as the “live” voice and ears of the brand across social communities. This role is responsible for managing the brand’s owned social channels, engaging directly with audiences, and acting as the primary point of contact for the online community. The Social & Community Management Lead will also oversee the brand’s social agency, ensuring seamless collaboration and execution of social strategies that amplify brand presence, foster authentic connections, and increase overall engagement metrics of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
Channel & Agency Management
• Champion the brand’s owned social channels, overseeing daily monitoring, content posting, community moderation, and timely responses to comments and messages.
• Manage the brand’s social agency, providing clear direction and ensuring alignment with brand objectives and brand TOV.
• Lead monthly content calendar development and content generation in partnership with the agency, including product launch, event and activation strategies.
Community Engagement
• Develop and execute a community engagement strategy that aligns with the brand’s tone of voice (TOV), playbook and marketing objectives.
• Actively participate in conversations across relevant online communities, fostering a positive and engaged brand presence.
• Serve as the “ears” of the brand by listening to comments on brand, community, and competitor content to build a strong understanding of audience sentiment.
• Champion user-generated content (UGC), identifying and elevating authentic community contributions and fostering relationships with creators through proactive outreach (mailers).
• Proactive identification of potential influencer partners via earned tags
Insights & Analysis
• Conduct qualitative analysis of social media conversations to identify trends, sentiment, and opportunities for improved messaging, innovation ideas, content opps.
• Share community insights with the Content Lead and PR & Influencer Marketing Lead regularly to inform campaign and content strategies/briefing. Share with cross-functional partners ad hoc when relevant insights arise.
Reputation Management
• Manage brand reputation within online communities by working with CEC to address inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution and protect brand integrity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with PR, Influencer, and Experiential lead to support influencer selection, briefing, and content review and event execution.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure social insights inform broader marketing strategies.
What You will Need to Succeed:
· 3–5+ years social media experience, ideally in beauty, personal care, wellness, or a related consumer category
· Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, communications or a related field, and a proven track record of growing social channels
· Deeply immersed in social and cultural trends; tracks what’s happening daily across platforms and understands how culture drives consumer behavior.
· Skilled in content creation, editorial calendars, influencer partnerships, community management, and social‑first creative production.
· Strong understanding of platform best practices(especially TikTok, Reels) and emerging content formats.
· Experience identifying and managing influencers and creators in and outside of the beauty space.
· Able to interpret performance data, track KPIs, and optimize content using insights.
· Comfortable working cross‑functionally with brand, PR, creative, media, and agency partners.
· Naturally proactive, culturally fluent, agile, and able to respond quickly to trends with brand‑aligned ideas
Pay: The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
