The Site Quality Team includes the Quality Specialist role. The main responsibilities of the Site Quality Specialist role are to support the Quality Assurance area at the Independence factory. They handle food safety and quality issues related to non-conformances by working with site leaders on non-conformances, consumer complaints, supplier investigations etc. They also conduct all required tests, track and record data and information in secure systems that meet Unilever's standards and specifications. Additionally, they carry out internal audits, documentation review and approve new packaging components for the site through trials and cooperation with R&D.
This key Quality role makes sure that food safety practices, processes and systems follow local regulations and leads improvement activities to ensure consumer safety & product quality exceed consumer / customer expectations. This role will report to the site Quality Manager.

What You’ll Do
- Lead non-conformance investigations, support factory in meeting food safety KPI’s.
- Lead investigations on consumer complaints and support factory on supplier related non-conformances.
- Decision making skills on day-to-day basis to assure that food safety and quality of the products is not compromised at any time.
- Provide technical input and support on factory related concerns such as process, packaging, and warehouse.
- Analyze monthly trending reports of key quality indicators including supplier quality and performs gap analysis and drives corrective actions.
- Lead AQL and rework program at the site.
- Communicate with Packaging engineers, Brand team, procurement analysts, artwork excellence team & different supplier personnel as needed.
- Notify supplier related concerns filling E-incident (Supplier Non-Conformance Report) in SAP-QM and sending quality alerts to the suppliers which doesn’t meet Unilever standards and are not feasible for production.
- Utilize the supporting software programs to Maintain, Record, and Control testing packaging components (SAP-QM and BLUE).
- Run various reports in SAP-QM to know the losses or supplier related quality concerns (SNCR report), Inventory blocked or monitoring expiring materials in timely manner.
- Work with suppliers regarding the quality concerns accordingly during the visit to the Independence factory.
- Follow good manufacturing practices/FDA regulations and safety rules.
- Other responsibilities as business needs.
- Own documentation management including company quality policies and procedures updates and reviews.
- Support the Quality Management System improvement process for the most relevant topics including SAP-QM and QualityOne (Veeva).
- Provides Quality updates to key stake holders.
- Provides technical expertise (SME) to support risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures such as safety requirements.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- University degree in technical discipline or general sciences. Preferred: Food or Dairy Science
- at least 1 years’ experience in a dairy or food environment or equivalent regulatory facing experience
- Applied knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Allergen Management, Food Safety, FSSC 22000, FDA 21 CFR 210, etc.
- Proven effective in collaboration and communication.
- Basic proficiency in MS tools (Excel, Power BI, PPT) SAP knowledge preferred.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $55,300 to $82,900. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
