JOB PURPOSE

The global laundry liquids team is looking for new team members to join our laboratory team in Port Sunlight near Liverpool. This team is working to making products that clean better and are a delight to use, the consumer can afford whilst radically reduce its carbon footprint. You will be involved with many aspects of the product development cycle, from fast-paced market-facing innovation projects to longer-term new technology development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The design, formulation and characterisation of the Next generation Laundry liquids
  • Product characterisation studies, including mechanistic and analytical studies of product and perfume performance. You will also work closely with colleagues in processing, consumer understanding and procurement.
  • Planning and executing your own day-to-day experimental work schedule, compliant with COSHH and GLP disciplines.
  • Driving our digital agenda; designing optimal experiments, structured data capture, modelling data, visualisation

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • You will have a science degree, preferably with some practical laboratory experience involving data interpretation & experimental design. You will need to love experiments and be highly motivated with excellent practical creativity. Strong communication & interpersonal skills are essential.

    This roles would suit a graduate with applied experience in a related field. The working language of the laboratory is English.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
