Who you are & What You’ll Do

The US Senior Legal Assistant - Regulatory & Marketing Compliance will serve as first legal point of contact for category specific marketing work. You will use your expertise in regulated food products to support the North America business teams, while expanding your own practice and skill set across all marketing related activities.

  • Initial review of claims and claim substantiation across all marketing materials (labels, marketing communications, and point of sale communications). Identify new or high-risk claims for attorney review/input.

  • Partner with Nutrition and Ice Cream North America Regulatory teams to provide an initial review of FDA compliance for labeling and communications.

  • Provide initial review of digital/social media activation plans and content for compliance with applicable FTC regulations as well as flagging risks related to claims and intellectual property.

  • Serve as first point of contact for North America Marketing and Consumer Services teams under the Nutrition and Ice Cream Business Units.

  • Support attorneys in management and coordination of quality incident workstreams (e.g., internal investigations, manufacturing facility audits, product recalls).

You’re a born leader: As the first legal marketing point of contact, you will be responsible for providing initial counsel to business partners. Strong knowledge of legal marketing and regulatory/compliance issues and the ability to counsel confidently and on the spot will be crucial for success.

You’re a dot connector: Marketing activations encompass many areas of the law (e.g. regulatory, privacy, IP, and contracts) that can sometimes impact each other. A strong Paralegal must have the ability to identify legal issues through every stage of the product lifecycle and communicate those issues to legal and non-legal partners while proposing creative solutions.

You’re a changemaker: Resilience in a highly challenging and ever evolving competitive environment supported by an agile mindset to drive success.

You’re a culture & change champion: A combination of real consumer passion and entrepreneurial spirit are at the foundation of our legal marketing services.
