Background and Purpose of Job
eCommerce is disrupting CPG retail, contributing up to 50% of total industry growth and leading CPGs are putting digital eCommerce at the heart of their strategies.
Unilever is looking for a Customer Business Development Manager to develop the Beauty & Personal Care assortment on Amazon.com. This person would work directly with Amazon’s retail team and Unilever cross-functional partners to deliver KPIs through assortment, mix management and holistic support plan.

Accelerating eCommerce enables us to get closer to our consumers and rapidly scale our brands. This role will be critical to the growth of Unilever’s business through the eCommerce retail channel.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
You’re a seasoned account manager, able to represent one Fortune 500 company to another. You know how to ask smart questions and build partnerships with your buyers to grow the business. You are also a thought leader for eCommerce, delivering feedback and insights back to brand teams and training everyone to better understand and plan for the future — eCommerce. You’re a skilled general manager, capable of working across multiple eCommerce platforms and Unilever categories. You are motivated to develop a strategy to deliver upon Unilever’s P&L objectives and seek the accountability of delivering KPIs through short and long-term growth planning. You are a team player, who delivers results through partnership with your retail partner and an all-star cross-functional team. You are innovative and always seeking ways to improve, whether that be co-creating digital marketing programs, pioneering next-gen data analytics, or re-inventing route to market.
You’re a general manager: You oversee and manage your trade spend, marketing investment, portfolio, and cross-functional team resources to deliver KPI’s such as turnover, margin, and competitive share growth. You apply operational rigor and leverage analytics to make sound, data-driven decisions about your business. You have a history of managing expectations. You take calculated risks to reap rewards.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of industry experience in CPG within sales/customer development or business/account management roles
Strong negotiation skills and experience in owning/meeting commercial targets
Ability to forecast sales and manage trade investment and ROI
Working knowledge of eCommerce retail basics, traffic & conversion drivers, search, the consumer’s path to purchase journey and pure play customer models
Prior experience in eCommerce sales or buying; Amazon experience is a plus
Pay: The pay range for this position is $110,700 to $166,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
