Digital Commerce (dCom) remains the fastest growing retail channel over the next 3-Yrs. but it will be survival of the fittest. Total dCom sales are expected to reach €6 trillion by 2024, accounting for 20.4% of Global retail sales. COVID-19 was a pivotal growth accelerator with >10x penetration in Countries as the US, in a matter of months, however, growth in the past few quarters flattened and competition continues to intensify. UL B2C dCom growth continues to outpace the market and the US remains a priority growth country for dCom, with Beauty & Wellbeing and Personal Care as the largest BGs.

Winning the algorithm is critical and therefore it is imperative that we continue to invest in Data & Analytics and Technology capabilities. Our Digital Commerce Intelligence & Analytics Lab (DIAL) connects data, analytics, insights, and actions, and systems of engagement that lead to quantifiable results. This team leads the development & execution of the organization's digital capability strategy, drives digital transformation, and optimizes digital capabilities operating as 1UL across the US, and for B&W and Personal Care at the Business Group level given the strategic importance of the US in dCom for each BG.

The role of Digital Intelligence & Analytics Lead will be to lead of team of Product and Business Analysts, partnering with key functions to power key decisions with data, advanced analytics and AI to accelerate growth in service of the US, and B&W and Personal Care BGs. Strategies to achieve this are

  • Lead the data & insights culture to empower a competitive advantage

  • Accelerate and simplify access to relevant data, information and insights

  • Build leading-edge data, information, insights & analytics capabilities

  • Rapidly embed analytics products, solutions & services to drive growth.

This role will support US as 1UL, B&W and Personal Care to unlock a data-driven culture and competitive advantage.

  • Partner senior dCom leaders to understand business problems to define and build the product vision and strategy.

  • Lead a team of 7-9 people including Program Manager(s), Product Lead(s) and Business Analyst(s).

  • Identify and deliver opportunities across functions to deliver category and customer growth.

  • Establish and operationalize dCom data and analytics creating impactful business cases across Countries and BGs.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and support the US CBD team with customer engagement.

  • Implement ways to measure and determine ways to improve.

  • Collaborate with in-market UniOps and Category Management teams to ensure product delivery is OTIF.

  • Drive LEAN, Agile and Design Thinking methodology and educate stakeholders on the core process/governance.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the product roadmap and relevant products to ensure ongoing success.

  • Nourish the OneTeam mentality working with counterparts and the broader dCom leads across the Compass Org.

  • Drive operational excellence within the team, support the product team to ensure adherence to SLAs.

  • Responsible and accountable for driving Change Management against the products as a service and ensure the US and B&W and Persinal Care are actualizing the value; strict focus on value creation and on-going optimization.

  • Mentor team on continuous improvement which will includes (1) Improved ways of working between engagement, tracking, (2) Simplification and Standardization, (3) Analytics toolkits and Automation accelerators, (4) Design thinking and Agile Scrum Approach, (5) Program management and functional know how of the use cases

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelors Degree (Masters or MBA preferred) with 8+ years of relevant experience in data & analytics, and technology

  • At least 6 years of experience in leading cross functional teams

  • Strong commercial acumen; previously business partnering or working in Sales is preferred.

  • Experience in working with senior stakeholders (WL4+)

  • Exposure to visualization tools like PBI, Webapp or other data blending tools

  • Working know how in Data Blending tools and technologies along with driving D&A

  • Working know how of Design Thinking or DevOps models along with Agile Scrum

  • Exposure and good learning in Data Science would be preferred

Pay: The pay range for this position is $135,600 to $203,300. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
