Background & Purpose of the Job:

The labor coordinator is responsible for labor optimization. This activity includes maintaining schedules for all hourly employees on a routine bases, as well as influencing the labor strategies of the site. The areas of responsibility are primarily in production but has the potential to reach across the entire facility. They will coordinate and assign people to factory positions based on both skill and business needs. The labor coordinator will also analyze headcount, monitor overtime and sustainable labor.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare production labor scheduling for each line.
  • Partner with 3rd party labor coordinators to coordinate demand for contingent labor.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust schedules per production changes.
  • Update kronos as needed to reflect accurately (production changes, approved schedule swaps).
  • Conduct people movement across lines and communicate moves efficiently and timely.
  • Look ahead to determine potential staffing shortfalls and create solutions to proactive prevent those shortfalls.
  • Coordinate training scheduling needs, pairing trainees with trainers.
  • Shift bids for production (and potentially entire factory in the future).
  • Manage openings for production handpackers and operators. Work with the HR and Finance departments to facilitate job openings.
  • Maintain a master list of people and their home spots
  • Manage and approve/deny PTO and entering onto the scheduling and kronos as needed. Communicate approvals/denials efficiently and timely.
  • Payroll signoff for production employees.
  • Manage overtime and maintain reports.
  • Track and enforce compliance with the company’s sustainable labor guidelines. Maintain reports and identify risks. Fully communicate these risks areas if any. Work with management and HR to create sustainable solutions.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experienced and proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Preferred to have at least 3 years of experience in previous work or educational setting.
  • Experience using Supervisor view of Kronos or other time keeping system is preferred.
  • Time Management Skills, experience prioritizing work with little guidance.
  • 2+ years' experience being in a leadership/supervisory role (leadership is considered directly and leading others work task, regardless of title).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups employees of organization.
  • Able to be flexible and work in an ever-changing environment.
  • Able to work in pressurized situations and deliver on hard deadlines.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Being in role does not create a conflict of interest within plant per handbook guidelines.
  • Ability to work various hours and shifts to accommodate giving visibility to all shifts.
  • Able to work overtime when required.
  • Associates Degree in Business, Supply Chain or other relevant area is preferred. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $42,300 to $63,500. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
