The Management Associate (MA) is an entry-level management role that supports operational success in the retail environment, with a focus on operations, tenant engagement and marketing. This role contributes to asset value by working closely with the General Manager and cross-functional teams. The MA serves as a champion of the customer and retail experience, helping ensure the center operates smoothly, looks great, and delivers a best-in-class experience for retailers and guests alike.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Support delivery of day-to-day operational excellence in accordance with established metrics and standards, including vendor management, reporting, and project management.
  • Collaborate across center and corporate departments and properties when needed, bringing an adaptable and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact for retailers, managing day-to-day inquiries and needs.
  • Maintain operational resources such as the Retail Handbook and ensure accurate information is available through URWConnect or other communication tools.
  • Assist with onboarding of new retailers, including coordination of required forms, policies, and orientation materials.
  • Monitor, report, and respond to guest experience challenges and opportunities.
  • Lead or support the delivery of guest-facing initiatives and retail service programs that uphold brand and customer service standards.
  • Conduct regular property walks to assess presentation and align with Westfield STYLE Standards.
  • Partner with the Marketing and Operations teams to provide logistical support for marketing events, brand activations, and community-based programs.
  • Become the voice of the shopper while also delivering insights and trends related to the trade-area including other complimentary and competitive influences that potentially have future strategic consideration for the center’s vision.
  • Maintain relationships with community stakeholders and support initiatives that promote the shopping center’s role as a community hub.
  • Assist with implementation of outreach and engagement programs including charity partnerships, local business initiatives, and cultural events.
  • Contribute to broader company initiatives by participating in special projects, pilots, or task forces, as identified by center or corporate leadership.

Business/Real Estate Knowledge/Experience

  • 2 years of experience in shopping center/retail/property/hospitality management level roles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest for real estate and/or retail development, leasing property management operations.
  • Education
  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent

Compensation

  • Exempt
  • $75,000 – $90,000 + Discretionary Annual Bonus
