About the Role

Join our Finance Development Program (FDP) at Uber, a two-year rotational program geared toward recent graduates who have a passion for learning all aspects of Finance business partnership and financial planning and analysis.

FDP will allow you to jumpstart your Finance career in a truly global company by building your network and learning from seasoned finance and business leaders. The program covers a breadth of core financial and analytical skills, as well as interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Uber's Finance teams are uniquely positioned to have transparency into Uber’s overall global business and to use financial & operational data to reach insights others might not be able to make.

As part of the team, you will be driving and supporting our company-wide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis efforts that touch every single area of the business. Your work and the insights you create will drive real time business decisions and help Uber to continue to grow, scale and become more profitable, while also creating more opportunities for the many thousands of couriers, restaurants and drivers that use our platform daily.

This position is based in our San Francisco headquarters.

What You’ll Do

  • Financial Planning: be part of the team that is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for Uber’s global business
  • Strategic Thinking: Apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision making related to new initiatives, products, and business opportunities
  • Financial Modeling: Build intricate financial models from scratch, improve existing models, and break complex models down into component parts
  • Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives that help us scale from startup to enterprise
  • Stakeholder Management: Work cross-functionally and support the broader organization (from Ops to Tech to others in Finance)

Basic Qualification

  • Upon hire completed a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a similar field (anticipated graduation Winter 2025 - Spring 2026)
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP and experience with Excel
  • Minimum 1 year of involvement in extracurricular groups, activities, or internship opportunities
  • Prior analytical internship experience including FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, private equity or operations management
  • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Uber does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership positions in any extracurricular activities
  • Proven understanding of GAAP, enterprise-level financial planning systems, SQL, and/or statistical software packages
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to structure effective presentations
  • Attention to detail and ability to implement tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Self-starter - you take initiative, set goals, and meet them

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$91,000 per year - USD$96,000 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
