About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Strategic Operations Analyst to help us scale Uber’s global merchant self-serve business—one of the largest and fastest-growing acquisition channels in the Delivery business.
In this role, you will be the analytical engine that informs the strategy to rapidly scale merchant acquisition and strengthen onboarding. You will provide data-driven insights across product-led growth, sales, performance marketing, and pricing. You will partner with regional operations, marketing, and product teams to build the reporting infrastructure that gives the team visibility into our performance. Success will require a blend of technical expertise, data-driven storytelling, and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business recommendations.
This is a hybrid role - our team collaborates in-person out of our incredible office in New York City 3 days/week. We encourage our employees to work from our office on additional days if they desire to do so.
What You’ll Do
- Harness your analytical skills to monitor performance and uncover actionable insights that shape strategy and drive business decision-making. Present your insights to relevant stakeholders
- Build and maintain automated dashboards and reporting across Business, Product, Sales, and Marketing metrics to track the health of the self-serve merchant funnel
- Partner with Product to analyze the end-to-end self-serve experience, identifying friction points in the signup flow to drive automation
- Quantify the voice of the customer by analyzing merchant feedback and research data to prioritize product improvements
- Perform experimental analysis (A/B testing, pre-post analysis) to drive continuous alignment between operational changes and business growth priorities
- Program manage execution of strategic initiatives across Product, Sales, Marketing, Support, Sales operations, etc, to deliver a best in class self-serve experiences for Uber merchants
- Drive cross-functional alignment around source-of-truth KPI definitions, query libraries, and data dictionaries
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, finance, strategy, operations, or other highly quantitative role
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex joins, CTEs) and Excel/GSheets
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Analytical thinker, with a proven track record of using data to drive business decisions
- Excellent communication skills, with experience translating complex analysis into "so-what" summaries for senior leaders
- Prior experience partnering with Tech teams to influence product roadmaps
- Strong business acumen, with experience evaluating business metrics and understanding how to drive growth
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI)
- Strong organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize requests in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort addressing ambiguity, such as shifting priorities or solving unfamiliar problems with limited documentation
- Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Math, etc.)
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
