US&C Gifting Operations Lead

This is a hybrid role and you must be located in, or willing to relocate to, San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City for the position.
About the Role
Uber's Gifting team is responsible for the operations of gifting on the Uber platform. This includes gifting stored value (Gift Cards), physical items (Marketplace) and subscriptions (Uber One).
The Global Commerce team is looking for an individual to manage gifting operations across all three verticals for the United States and Canadian markets. This person will be responsible for the business outcome in these markets, engaging and managing this business with regional business leads, and partnering with tech and other operations stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with a “Go Get It” mindset that can operate a business on a granular level while turning insights into larger actions that uplevel the reach and engagement for Uber gifting.
What You’ll Do
- Strategy: You will be in the team that owns the growth and PnL of the US and Canada gifting team. We expect the candidate to be proactive in order to find creative solutions for our growth challenges and remove road blockers;
- Experiment: Perform analysis and experiments to find growth opportunities for the Financial Products at Uber;
- Develop & Optimize Processes: Scale new and existing processes to allow the business to efficiently operate and realize growth;
- Analytics: Analysis of transactions and financial product features, payment costs metrics, guide incentive programs and ensure high-quality experiences on the Financial Product experience.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 6+ years’ experience working in at least one of these industries/areas: retail, gift cards, payments, fintech, strategy, operations, business development, banking, digital retailer or consulting (with a focus on commercial operations and/or marketing)
- Strong proficiency with Excel / GSheets, SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in gifting operations, retail operations or consulting
- 8+ years working in at least one of these industries/areas: retail, gift cards, payments, fintech, strategy, operations, business development, banking, digital retailer or consulting (with a focus on commercial operations and/or marketing)
- Ability to manage and influence stakeholders, lead meetings, follow up to keep up the project's pace and act as a business owner in front of many different levels of leadership.
- Program Management: Candidate must be organized and efficient to handle multiple initiatives and pushing them to the finish line with collaboration from multiple stakeholders;
- Problem Solving: Candidate must be data-driven and be able to combine data with common sense to identify root causes of challenges faced by the team and propose concrete solutions.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$146,000 per year - USD$162,000 per year.
