About the Role

At Uber, we believe the most successful technology companies are forward-thinking storytellers who keep their products central to every communication, and keep their brand at the forefront of culture.

The Social team is responsible for telling Uber’s story in an engaging, inspiring, humanizing and innovative way across global channels, and to a global audience. We develop creative programming ourselves, build relationships with key influencers and creators, and launch new products and partnerships in a Social-first way.

As a Senior Associate on the Social Media team, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic social plans across Uber and Uber Eats. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to bring new products, partnerships, campaigns, owned programming and events to life on our global channels. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong iPhone shooting and editing skills, an eye for graphic design, thumb-stopping content ideas, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage day-to-day social media responsibilities across Uber global channels, which support both the mobility and delivery businesses.
  • Shoot, edit, and create original content (both videos & graphics) for new products, partnerships, campaigns, and initiatives that will live on @Uber and @UberEats handles.
  • Craft clear and compelling Social plans for both timely and evergreen content initiatives, and understand how organic and paid content strategies work together.
  • Attend and capture content at events and company moments.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Comms, Marketing, Ops, Product, Legal and more.
  • Support relationships with key influencers and creators across categories when needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 years of proven social media experience with a deep understanding of the major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube) and their respective audiences, features, and best practices.
  • An outstanding video shooter and editor with an eye for graphic design. You capture high quality content with intent, and edit seamlessly no matter the subject. Proficient in: Adobe Premiere or Capcut for video editing, and Canva or Photoshop for graphic creation.
  • An excellent writer who writes clear, concise and snappy copy, and has no trouble distilling complex announcements into simple, engaging, and entertaining content.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 years of proven Social Media experience.
  • Communications, editorial planning, and graphic design / video editing experience.
  • Influencer, creator and talent management experience.
  • BrandWatch and Sprinklr experience.
  • A creative strategist who can spot a trend from a mile away and leverages data-driven insights to craft impactful, relevant content that aligns with Uber’s business goals.
  • A go-getter who looks forward to rolling up their sleeves, building things from the bottom up, and excels in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player who enjoys working closely with cross functional stakeholders and stays calm under pressure. Success at Uber depends on the ability to partner internally and externally, and organize around shared goals.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$130,000 per year - USD$144,000 per year.
