About The RoleUber's Global Diversity & Inclusion team is passionate about ensuring that we are prioritizing the vast array of differences that drive our innovation and expanding a culture of inclusion that helps to celebrate those differences.We have an immediate requirement for a dedicated DEI Business Partner to drive operational and tactical efforts within our Core Services and Delivery business. Reporting to the Sr. Director of DEI, this role will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to manage multiple work streams, timelines, and deliverables as well as communications with internal stakeholders. This role is US-based, can be a remote worker within the Diversity & Inclusion team, and will work with teams in various time zones. What You'll Do
  • Partner and consult closely with the Senior Director of DEI, Head of US/C for Delivery and Head of Comm Ops, Advisor(s) to their ELT +1 members, and DEI Project Managers to identify solutions and strategize for the sustained future and expansion of Core Business and DEI Marketplace Strategies
  • Monitor progress updates from the PM’s (and other relevant documents as “sources of truths”) and aggregate data and progress in QBRs and All-Hands
  • Create and own the agendas for planning, monthly business partner meetings, and other DEI-related projects.
  • Find opportunities to enhance program documentation, flow, and efficiency
  • Create and/or provide reporting structure, process, templates (as needed), and relevant resources for PM’s
  • Coach PM’s as needed through risk & mitigation and identify when to call out issues
  • Coordinate and consolidate commitment status updates and presentations for the senior leaders, and various team members including HR and People Partners
  • Collaborate with HR and People Partners to guide and implement change management
  • Proactively and consistently prepare DEI project status updates - anticipate, flag issues and risks, and recommend mitigation plans
  • Manage and maintain project documentation for the program
  • Draft influential communications for senior-level leaders, key partners and PMs
  • Perform other related tasks, as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of professional program management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to build persuasive and clear written communications
  • A problem solver and critical thinker – able to navigate complexities and divided opinions
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong program management, process improvement experience, and organizational skills
  • Experience in some Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work (through ERG involvement, project work, etc.) at a similar size and scale of Uber
  • Ability to influence and present to Executive Level leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a diverse set of people and groups in multicultural, global, and cross-functional environments (internal and external)
  • The ability to work with statistics and present results in an understandable format
  • Experience in working with global programs and projects, and international internal/external collaborators
