2. Role
As a Physician Partner, you will be responsible for providing medical services for women’s health products to our users through telemedicine (asynchronous and synchronous). In particular, you will review the medical history of our users, assess their eligibility, communicate through our secure messaging system for follow-up questions, conduct audio/video consultations, write prescriptions (for eligible users), and answer medical questions from existing users (also through our secure messaging system).
You will also have a chance to engage with other providers on the team and exercise your leadership skills at Twentyeight Health. In particular, you will have Nurse Practitioners that you will collaborate with through chart reviews, monthly meetings, and clinical supervision. This is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about increasing access to women’s health.
This is a part-time, remote, independent contractor position with regular weekly commitments and scheduling flexibility.
3. Responsibilities
- Provide telemedicine services (asynchronous and synchronous) for women’s health products
- Review the medical history of users
- Assess medical eligibility for women’s health products
- Write prescriptions for women’s health products
- Answer medical questions related to women’s health products
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners providing telemedicine services
4. Requirements
We are looking for exceptional candidates with the following qualifications:
- Board-certified MD/DO in OB/GYN, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- Completed residency and minimum 2 years post-residency experience
- Resides in Hawaii state and holds an active Hawaii state medical license and Hawaii Medicaid enrollment
- 10+ active state licenses and 2+ Medicaid credentials (willingness to obtain more within 90 days, nationwide licenses is a plus)
- 12–15 hours/week minimum across synchronous (video) and asynchronous (secure messaging) care, including at least one weekend day
- Quarterly scheduling commitment (sync availability needed 90 days in advance)
- Willingness to enter collaborative agreements with NPs in restricted-practice states
- Ability to serve as president/owner of a medical professional corporation that is registered in HI
- Prescribe per CDC guidelines for contraception and reproductive health
