About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and driven OSP and Service Supervisor to lead our Outside Plant (OSP) construction and maintenance efforts, as well as our customer-facing service installation and drop teams. In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring high-quality network infrastructure deployment and exceptional customer service delivery in your market. This is an on-site role in Charlottesville, VA.

You’ll coordinate day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with telecom standards, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage OSP and Service technician teams to ensure efficient project execution and outstanding customer service.

• Foster a culture aligned with Ting’s core values: service excellence, safety, and teamwork.

• Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of OSP construction, maintenance, installations, drops, and service work.

• Manage internal resources and vendor scheduling for both OSP and install projects.

• Conduct safety audits and quality control inspections, taking corrective actions as needed.

• Act as the escalation point for customer issues and internal queries, resolving challenges with urgency.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of OSP, Install, and Drop technicians.

• Provide technical leadership and support for both field operations and customer installation workflows.

• Conduct site surveys and participate in local marketing events and on-call rotations.

• Collaborate with vendors to oversee project execution and validate invoices.

• Ensure all work adheres to telecom construction and installation standards and best practices.

• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery and infrastructure operations.

• Perform other duties as needed to support evolving business needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Demonstrated leadership experience in supervising OSP and service delivery teams.

• Deep knowledge of fiber optic networks, splicing, facility locating, outage restoration, preventative maintenance, and customer installation practices.

• Strong project, vendor, and personnel management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Commitment to maintaining safety and quality across all field operations.

• Competence in using digital tools and reporting systems to track performance and project progress.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of experience managing OSP construction/maintenance and customer installation/service teams in telecommunications.

• Proven success in meeting operational KPIs and delivering high customer satisfaction.

• Familiarity with FTTx deployments, fiber technologies, and customer installation best practices.

• Knowledge of telecom safety regulations and construction standards.

• Technical certifications or qualifications in telecommunications or project management are a strong asset.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000. Range shown in $USD for US residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
