Activities

The On-Site Manager provides continuity between the FPG team and the operating site contractors, charged with maintaining and improving site programs, culture, and systems by utilizing an understanding of the site needs and leveraging onsite human performance with industry technologies and practices.

Cultural & Safety Leadership:

  • Act as a steward of the TotalEnergies’s values and culture on-site, promoting a safe, ethical, and performance-driven work environment.
  • Enforce adherence to TotalEnergies’s Company rules, specifically safety, and site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates safety as a core value at TotalEnergies.
  • Creates an atmosphere between FPG and on-site contractor that is conducive to clear expectations, good morale and high productivity.

Alignment & Oversight:

  • Ensure on-site contractor procedures, operations, and policies align with TotalEnergies’s standards and regulatory/ethical requirements.
  • Ensure alignment between FPG Safety, Operations, Maintenance and IT functions and on-site actions and activities.
  • Ensuring timely execution of maintenance and capital projects on-site in coordination with FPG Maintenance and Operations Managers.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Maintain clear, consistent communication between on-site contractor personnel and FPG.
  • Prepare regular status updates, risk assessments, and escalation reports as required.

Technical Guidance:

  • Provide expertise and technical direction to resolve operational or engineering issues. Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and improvement initiatives.
  • Act as technical resource for capital project design, installation, training, and startup, as needed.
  • Provide on-site contractor with technical support to ensure safe operation while meeting the FPG and FPI US production objectives.
  • Look for and implement applicable technological advances to improve workplace culture and meet plant goals. Identify and propose improvement projects.

Performance Monitoring and Continual Improvement:

  • Track and analyze on-site contractor performance against established KPIs (e.g., reliability, safety, efficiency, environmental compliance).
  • Report deviations and drive corrective actions in coordination with both on-site contractor, TotalEnergies’s standards and FPG expectations.
  • Improve safety practices and ensure compliance of on-site contract, i.e. MAESTRO, ISO14001, etc.
  • Working with FPG, improve plant reliability, availability and quality as well as cost control, energy efficiency and optimization.

Candidate Profile

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in power generation or heavy industrial operations, preferably with experience in contractor oversight.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of operational KPIs, maintenance processes, and regulatory compliance in the energy sector.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Knowledge of safety systems, quality assurance, and performance management frameworks. Including familiarity with CMMS systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, PI, Maximo).

Other:

  • Ability to work varied hours; including night shift.
  • Ability to work outdoors.
