Transport Supervisor - The purpose of the position is to work with the Transport Manager – Lautoka and the management providing support in managing the transport department including the fleet team directing seamless operation between the two allowing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders. This role is an integral member of the Transport function and will make a strong contribution to a high performing team culture.

Job Description

  • Champion Safety
  • Assist the team with Safety Observation including entering of potential hazards into ENABLON (Integrated Risk Management software platform).
  • Ensure Delivery in full on time (DIFOT) is being followed for the current day’s delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Reviewing the plan and coordination deliveries and following through with the team to ensure delivery executions are done in an appropriate and efficient manner.
  • Review the delivery documents including invoices and running sheets and reconciling with daily plan report.
  • Ensure all work order are billed and external invoices are processed.
  • Optimizing asset utilization to ensure low-cost operation.
  • Develop strategies which will improve Team performance.
  • Review container movement from Shipping to customer and return to depot ensuring demurrage is negated.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Transport team which includes generating overtime records, attendance, and punctuality reports.
  • Effectively communicate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely execution of the delivery/ transfer schedule.
  • Attend to customer queries and concerns providing accurate and detailed response.
  • Review all Repair and Maintenance schedule with Workshop lead.
  • Drive preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with all Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and reporting any non- conformance to the Transport &Warehouse Manager Fiji in an efficient manner.
  • Provide shift reports daily to the Transport &Warehouse Manager Fiji for review and action.
  • Consolidate daily schedule reports and distribute to all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all inventory processes, procedures and documentation is completed in accordance with Neptune Pacific Direct Line best practices and policies.

Qualifications

Education

  • Secondary School Education. Pass in English and Math
  • A certificate in Supply Chain management or Transport Management.

Experience

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Skills

  • Physically fit
  • Attention to detail
  • Have strong time management skills and high degree of attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work either independently or collaboratively as needed
  • Experience in the shipping industry is preferred
  • Competent user of MS Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Group 2 drivers License. Group 6,7 & 9 license will be an advantage.
