Job Description

Here's what you'll do:

  • Responsible for the hiring, quality, production efficiency, training, evaluating and scheduling of warehouse personnel.
  • Responsible for enforcing company policies, safety guidelines and processes
  • Determine staffing levels to meet production demands
  • Set and meet annual operational budgets
  • Ensure all product is shipped and received per schedule and accurate
  • Responsible for proper stock rotation as required
  • Maintain dry goods/packaging inventories. (Negotiation of prices, ordering, inventory control)
  • Perform month end and year end physical inventory counts as required
  • Maximizes storage capacity onsite while minimizing cost for external storage
  • Coordinates all internal logistics with RGJ assets
  • Maintain warehouse and fleet assets as per company and DOT standards
  • Provides regular performance feedback to Director of Operations
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met
  • Prepares reports from supporting data for posting and/or presenting
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Familiar with Oracle and/or similar warehouse management systems
  • Responsible for employee time and production records
  • Ability to manage frequent schedule changes or unexpected events
  • Be aware of and comply with current good manufacturing practices regarding; proper food handling techniques, food-protection principles, the danger of poor personal hygiene and unsanitary practices.
  • Food Safety Responsibilities:
    • Disease Control: Any employee who, by medical examination or supervisory observation, is shown to have, or appears to have, an illness, open lesion, including boils, sores, or infected wounds, or any other abnormal source of microbial contamination by which there is a reasonable possibility of food, food-contact surfaces, or food packaging materials becoming contaminated, shall be excluded from any operations which may be expected to result in such contamination until the condition is corrected.
    • Cleanliness: All employees working in direct contact with food, food-contact surfaces, and food-packaging materials shall conform to hygienic practices while on duty to the extent necessary to protect against contamination of food.
  • This job has an entire department reporting to it. This position is also required to work out any major employee disputes when the director is unavailable.

Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, SDS, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with and solve major and minor problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to get along with people and motivate workers.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
