FIJI Water is bottle at source in a world class facility with state of the art equipment located at Yaqara and is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the open positions.

Job Description

Reporting to the Manager Logistics, the successful candidate will be required to lead and manage a team that coordinate critical processes and functions for Plant Logistics at Yaqara plant, including and not limited to, empty container delivery, finished goods Inventory control, local order supply, finished goods for export and all relevant documentation and verifications required for shipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the team ensuring all critical processes for the department are met
  • Oversee plant logistics operations in the absence of the Manager Logistics
  • Coordinate and monitor performance of non-standard activity for Plant Logistics
  • Lead CI and RCA, control transfer processes minimizing waste, conduct analysis and WOW projects to continue to improve systems and processes
  • Analyze data and performance to identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensure that all Finished goods recording is done accurately, and Inventory database is maintained
  • Monitor daily loading operations, meet container carrier adherence including other specific shipment requirement
  • Ensure that shipping and export documents are completed and released to all our stakeholders meeting the required regulations
  • Ensure that the Bill of Landing is verified against the NWVL shipping documents, coordinate documentation between NWVL, container agents, Fleet logistics, USA Logistics, and warehouse team.
  • Analyze production progress to determine and plan empty container deliverables
  • Ensure that local orders and deliveries are done
  • Ensure that the monthly KPI data is compiled and available for management
  • Ensure container movement is tracked daily to eliminate container detention fees
  • Audit roster key entries to ensure accurate records is captured weekly, identify improvement plans to minimize overtime
  • Ensure that all department SWI/SOPs are available, valid, and documented.
  • Coordinate and monitor yard capacity and container traffic movement, FIFO
  • Ensure that department trainings are planned and completed
  • Monitor forklift performance to ensure machines are maintained, eliminate forklift delays or impact to operations
  • Lead the team and support organizational philanthropic, quality, and environmental initiatives and model Company’s core values: Continuous Learning, Insight to Action, Passionate Advocate for Our Brand, Respect for Each Other, and Departmental Collaboration

Qualifications

  • Degree, Diploma or Certificate in relevant field
  • Certification in supply chain management or 3 years’ experience with related field.
  • Ability to demonstrate advance MS Office and Excel skills.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive Manufacturing or Shipping background, especially in bottling environment with technical experience.
  • Valid group 9 driving license (optional)
