OUR TEAM

Our Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer the opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations, creating huge opportunities for growth.

Within our logistics services business there are 17+ depots throughout Australia, allowing various development and progression opportunities.

YOUR ROLE

Thales Australia is seeking a Data Manager to play a critical role in strengthening data quality, governance and risk management across the end-to-end Explosive Ordnance (EO) supply chain supporting the Australian Defence Force.

You’ll lead the development and implementation of the EO Data Management Framework, ensure compliance and provide trusted data and risk insights to support Defence capability decisions. Working closely with stakeholders across Thales and Defence, you’ll strengthen data maturity, integrity and transparency across the EO network.

Working from our Orchard Hills site, on Darug land, your role purpose is to -

  • Develop and maintain the EO Data Management Plan

  • Manage data quality, governance and information security in classified environments

  • Coordinate and report on risks, issues and opportunities

  • Maintain authoritative data definitions and reporting aligned to Thales and Defence standards

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Qualification in IT, Data Management or Compliance/Risk

  • Experience in data governance, quality and risk management

  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Experience with data and risk tools (e.g. Power BI, JIRA, Objective)
