OUR TEAM

Our Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer the opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations, creating huge opportunities for growth.

Within our logistics services business there are 17+ depots throughout Australia, allowing various development and progression opportunities.

YOUR ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Port Operations Manager to lead safe, efficient and compliant port operations at Point Wilson. This role oversees cargo transfer activities, primarily involving containerised Commonwealth Explosive Ordnance (EO), with scope for commercial and Navy-related work.

You will act as the focal point for port operations, stevedoring issues, stakeholder engagement and customer service, while supporting continuous improvement and operational optimisation.

  • Lead day-to-day port operations, ensuring safety, compliance and efficiency

  • Manage and develop a high-performing operations team

  • Ensure compliance with WHS, maritime regulations, EO handling and contractual requirements

  • Coordinate vessel planning, port calls, inward/outward clearances and cargo movements

  • Act as the key point of contact for stevedoring, customers and stakeholders

  • Manage container movements, quarantine remediation and freight forwarding activities

  • Ensure security, incident reporting and emergency response requirements are met

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma of Business (Logistics Management) or equivalent (or ability to obtain)

  • Strong background in logistics and multi-mode transport operations

  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with sound business and personnel management abilities

  • Previous experience in Defence and/or EO supply chain would be highly advantageous
