Position Summary
Thales is looking for a Aircraft Maintenance Planner to be responsible for the planning of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in support of the Thales IFEC system installed on customer aircraft, to include program initiatives, such as scheduling modifications and software upgrades on the associated fleet(s); continuous improvement of data collection, processing and analysis, as well as defining objectives and requirements to meet departmental parameters and customer needs.
In this position, you are also responsible for committed time and quality standards throughout the full life cycle of all assigned projects. Position requires the handling and processing of customer sensitive data.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Track aircraft installations and MRO visits for a period of 30 days following entry into service, noting system discrepancies and trends; Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality; Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources to validate & reconcile data, reports, and other data measures.
- Work with management team to create a prioritized list of needs for each business segment while defining new process improvement opportunities; Identify trends or patterns of maintenance-missed opportunities and recommends corrective action plans.
- Identify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processes.
- Works with supporting organizations to quickly contain problems, identify root cause and implement permanent corrective actions as they arise.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to outline specific data needs for each customer analysis project and providing project implementation criteria and estimate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study with minimum 3+ years of relevant project planning/execution experience or Master’s degree in a related field of study with 2+ years of relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED with minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experienced in training and developing junior staff members in departmental operations and project planning/analytics.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including strong skills using the following: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Proficiency in creating and utilizing pivot tables and generating graphical interfaces for analytics.
- Must have a positive & team-centered attitude.
- Ability to read technical literature, follow oral instructions and communicate with cross functional team members.
- Strong analytical skills with focus on attention to detail; Excellent verbal and written communication.

Special Position Requirements
- Schedule: Training consists of 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. After training, the schedule transitions to 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday through Saturday, with Wednesdays rotating on and off.
- Physical Environment: General office & warehouse environment.
- Travel: This position may require domestic travel up to 10% annually.
