Business Development Manager – Merchant Payments/ Digital Sales

Position Summary
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the Merchant Payment customer base in the region. In this role, you will create profitable opportunities for Thales PAY, dealing with Payment Gateways, Payment Service Providers, Payment Orchestrators, Merchant Wallet providers, Merchants and Acquirers (customers). You will cover US & Canada Region (North America/ NORAM)
Key Areas of Responsibility
Closing deals with customers from sourcing to contract negotiations
Communicating with customers to promote Thales PAY products and services
Attend and represent THALES PAY during major Merchant events in the NORAM region
Identifying and analyzing market and customer needs.
Collaborating with the marketing team in building competitive commercial offers for solutions and services based on customer and market demands, pricing guidelines, and cost optimization.
Assisting product management teams in improving the product offerings and roadmaps to meet market needs.
Coordinating market, customer, and sales channel requirements with marketing and product management.
Identifying and managing sales channel partners, developing selected partners to sell and/or promote Thales PAY solutions and services in the Merchant Payment market.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and/or a Masters degree in an appropriate discipline
8+ years of experience in business development, sales, and/ or product marketing in digital commerce
At least 5 years of the Merchant Payment ecosystem and associated technologies experience, including technical knowledge of payment solutions and services related to payment
At least 2 years of experience Payment Tokenization, authentication, click2Pay challenges for Merchant
Prior experience identifying and qualifying targets, planning capture strategies, and developing account strategies.
Strong customer satisfaction focus and interpersonal skills to build trust and partnerships.
Excellent leadership and are recognized for your negotiation, listening, and communication skills.
Enthusiastic and goal-oriented, you thrive in team environments and succeed through collaboration.

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between
Total Target Cash (TTC): 122,472.00 - 215,600.00 - 264,000.00 USD AnnualThis reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
