System Engineer

JOB OBJECTIVE
We’re on the lookout for a Systems Engineer to join our engineering team, where you’ll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role within the Product Team at AstraUTM – ensuring liaison with Project Managers/Clients and collaborate with the Software Team on a daily basis to ensure that the system requirements are detailed, and traceability is ensured.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a System Engineering Role, you will:
- Define the system requirements: Translating stakeholder needs into technical requirements
- Define detailed functional, performance, and environmental requirements: Ensuring compliance with standards like ED-109
- Ensure the requirements are complete, consistent, and testable
- Ensure traceability
- Contribute to procedures for system level testing
- You want to update your expertise continuously and design innovative solutions to fit your customers’ needs
- You want to solve complex problems and be plunged into a challenging environment
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- You have a proven experience in Software and/or Systems Engineering
- You have experience with writing system specifications (functional and non-functional requirements.
- You are familiar with engineering process and tools
- You are able to adapt and react to change
Nice to have:
- You have knowledge of development assurance standards (such as ED-153, ED-109A, ARP 4754A, ED-12C) ·
- You have knowledge of the operational and regulatory environment of Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM)
- You have experience with drone operations
QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
You have graduated with a master’s degree of an Engineering School (Electronics, Aeronautical/Space Engineering, Computer Science) or in university

- You can quickly understand the system in which you evolve (key stakeholders, interactions, products, environment …)
- You are recognized as a team player and enjoy collaborative work in an international environment
- You have synthetic and helicopter view of the organization
- You are resourceful, analytical and structured
- You are open-minded and curious
- You are rigorous and logical
- You are fluent in English (both spoken and written)
