Stripe
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
Stripe’s Experimentation Platform sits at the heart of how we build products. The platform provides random assignment, metrics computation, rigorous statistical analysis, versatile reports that let every Stripe team ship confidently, learn quickly, and keep users safe. We serve experiments at scale, powering decisions for launches that move trillions of dollars of payments volume. The team is a tight-knit group of engineers who partner closely with data scientists and product thinkers, united by a commitment to correctness, low latency, and developer ergonomics.
What you’ll do
We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer who will set the technical direction for the next generation of Stripe’s Experimentation Platform—one that is as intuitive for internal users to adopt as it is powerful under the hood. You will architect and build systems that provide easy setup, low-latency results, and statistically sound analysis, all while being simple to integrate, flexible to extend, and ready to scale an order of magnitude beyond today’s traffic. You will partner closely with product teams and data scientists to ensure they have a seamless end-to-end experimentation experience—from defining a hypothesis to making a launch decision. Your work will directly influence how quickly and safely Stripe ships every new feature.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term architecture of Stripe’s Experimentation Platform.
- Lead multi-quarter, cross-org initiatives that improve reliability, scalability, and statistical rigor of the platform.
- Directly contribute to core systems and write code.
- Ensure operational excellence and enable a highly available, reliable and secure Experimentation Platform
- Partner with engineers and data scientists across the company on experimentation best practices and build a community with an metrics-first & experimentation-first culture.

- Hands-on experience with stream or batch data processing technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark, Trino, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to partner with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to translate business questions into reliable technical solutions
Preferred qualifications
- Prior ownership of an internal or external experimentation platform
- Statistical background from academic or prior working experience as Data scientists.
