Management of the instrumentation required to collect data on vehicles, sub systems and componentsâ. Ensuring the highest quality data is recorded and processed to efficiently analyze data needed for all projectsâ. Reviewing test plans with engineers; understand what equipment is needed to acquire the data under the specified load casesâ Know what data acquisition system to use, which transducers, and where to place them on the vehicle or sub-systemâ. Use hands-on experience with data acquisition and data processing softwareâ. Will be responsible for instrumentation and calibration of transducers and data acquisition system for the given application. â The Automotive Test Technician should be self-sufficient to prepare the test setup, conduct testing, and acquire the data with or without the engineerâ. The Automotive Test Technician will save the data, process it, and analyze it, and create reports.

Basic Qualifications:â
- High School Diploma or GED
- Familiarity with instrumentation, data acquisition, vehicle testing
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)â
- Must have a valid driver's license (with no more than 2 points)â
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environmentâ
- Minimum of an A.A.S. degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar disciplineâ
- Familiarity with digital signal processing, experience setting up and conducting testsâ
- Experience in performing data acquisition and data processing using Siemens Test Lab, Head Acoustics' Artemis, or similar softwareâ
- Experience with NVH instrumentation (e.g. accelerometers, force transducers, tachometers, and microphones)â
- Experience in Data Analysis and Reportingâ
- Experience with Chrysler Diagnostic Application
