Principle Product Manager (STLA-Brain)

The Principle Platform Product Manager of STLA-Brain in the Software Organization leads the strategic vision, portfolio direction, and investment decisions for the vehicle platform, spanning base software, core platform services, and body domain applications. This role steers long-term platform strategy, drives major business impact, and represents the platform’s technical and market leadership both within and beyond the company.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establishes and owns the vision and strategic priorities for products within your domain
- Ensures the product backlog reflects the vision and strategy by working closely with other Product Managers
- Collaborates with stakeholders to define objectives & key results (OKR), product themes, and features
- Uses business cases to make the case for new features and products/technology
- Sets product feature priorities and timelines, analyzes trade-offs, and considers business & sales impact of different features to provide data-driven prioritized requirements to engineering teams
- Collaborates with the team to detail features with business value and acceptance criteria
- Coordinates dependencies with other product managers within the Software organization
- Builds relationships with key stakeholders and other influencers
- Works cross functionally with other product areas within the Software Organization and across the enterprise
- Considers flexibility and scalability as core attributes of the platform
- Continuously researches industry developments, new market trends and forces, and understands how our products are performing with current customers
- Advise senior leaders on technology trends, partner strategy, and ecosystem development.
- Represent the company in industry forums, panels, and standards bodies.
- Publish white papers, present at industry events, and drive thought leadership in vehicle platforms.
- Define and evolve the long-term product vision and portfolio strategy.
- Make autonomous decisions on major investments, platform architecture, and build vs. buy choices.
- Develop and mentor senior and junior product managers.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and cross-team collaboration.
