Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A

The Squarespace Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to take ownership of FP&A responsibilities within the Investments team. This role involves analyzing results, understanding key drivers, and providing clear, actionable insights to support decision-making.
We’re seeking someone who takes full ownership of their work, ramps up quickly in unfamiliar territory, and brings curiosity, strategic thinking, and strong analytical instincts to everything they do. You will report to the Director of FP&A (Investments) and be a trusted thought partner across the business.
This is a hybrid role based in New York City (3 days/week in-office).
You’ll Get To…
- Lead financial planning, analysis, and forecasting for our Customer Operations organization, including all related headcount and operational expenses.
- Own and analyze credit card and payment processing fees across the business, identifying drivers, trends, and opportunities to improve efficiency or reduce costs.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities and communicate their potential business impact clearly and succinctly.
- Develop impactful, compelling presentation materials that effectively communicates financial projections, drivers, business performance, risks and opportunities to leadership
- Deliver clear and actionable insights to leadership — not just the “what,” but the “why” and the “what now.”
- Lead the preparation of the monthly close, forecast, and annual planning processes, and related financial reviews with partners.
- Support and improve financial models and reporting tools to enable better decision-making.
Who We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably in tech or a high-growth environment.
- A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, ramps quickly, and takes initiative to solve problems before they’re assigned.
- Demonstrated ability to go beyond reporting to deliver insights and recommendations.
- Strong understanding of P&L components, especially operating and transaction-related costs.
- Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday Adaptive, Looker) is a plus.
- Clear communicator who can influence non-finance stakeholders and present to leadership.
- Detail-oriented with strong business judgment, curiosity, and a high personal standard for work quality.

Cash Compensation Range: $105,500 - $170,200 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
