The Role

SoFi is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead development of our lending systems for Collections.

In this role you will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and building new capabilities so we can better serve our members as they make payments on their SoFi loansYour work will make it possible for more SoFi members to use SoFi loans to achieve their financial goals. You will be the product manager responsible for supporting and delivering products with two engineering teams. You will work closely with members of the cross-functional team that supports our Lending business: Risk, the business unit managers, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other product teams.

As a product leader in our organization, you will be expected to set ambitious goals, be gritty, and accountable to results. You’ll play the critical role of bridging the technical and business worlds to deliver enhancements that delight our members and drive our business forward.

What you’ll do:

  • Build innovative solutions in a customer-centric environment - the solutions will include backend systems, user experiences, and tools for SoFi operations employees.

  • Be able to work closely with engineering to own and dive deep into backlogs, definition of done and technical requirements details.

  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across risk, operations, legal, compliance, business units, and executive management to prioritize high impact product plans and translate customer needs into a product.

  • Create, communicate, and evangelize a product roadmap for SoFi’s collections systems.

  • Own instrumentation and data for your products to drive deep understanding, innovation and product plans.

  • Lead and communicate with a broad group of stakeholders in a fast-paced agile environment.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or non-technical discipline

  • 4-6 years of experience in product management

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to define and deliver products on deadlines with a software engineering team

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts and business drivers, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners

  • Very good attention to detail and ability to summarize complex issues

  • Very good written and spoken communication skills

  • Experience presenting to executive management

  • Analytical approach and ability to use and work with data

  • A proactive and accountable approach to your work

  • Ability to lead and coordinate groups of people to make and execute plans.

  • Ability to work with remote teams

  • Deep customer empathy and passion for helping people achieve their financial goals!

Nice to have:

  • MBA

  • Previous experience in collections or lending

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
