We’re seeking a high‑energy Inside Sales Account Executive passionate about New Business to drive net‑new revenue and strategic expansion across Large Enterprise accounts.
This role combines the strategic, multi‑stakeholder selling typical of our Large Enterprise team with the high‑velocity pipeline generation and volume closing focus of Inside Sales.
You Will:
Drive New Business & Expansion
- Exceed quarterly and annual quotas by generating new net revenue across a defined enterprise territory.
- Develop new pipeline from early‑stage and greenfield accounts; analyze and target high‑value needs across multiple departments and lines of business.
- Execute a complex, solution‑based sales process with multiple stakeholder groups (VP/C‑level, IT, operations), positioning Smartsheet as a strategic enterprise solution.
- Propose, negotiate, and close both strategic enterprise opportunities and volume/capability‑attach deals
Sales Execution & Collaboration
- Articulate and demonstrate Smartsheet’s value—business, solution, and functional—to validate proposed solutions and advance deals.
- Partner with field Account Executives to qualify and hand off larger solution deals while jointly executing territory growth strategies.
- Develop tailored proposals that align to customer initiatives and outcomes.
Account & Pipeline Management
- Proactively manage a large volume of early‑stage accounts while advancing high‑value opportunities.
- Forecast accurately and maintain healthy pipeline metrics; track all sales activity in Salesforce (SFDC).
- Engage executive stakeholders and coordinate with Smartsheet leadership to progress complex evaluations.
You Have:
- 3 - 5+ years software sales experience (SaaS preferred) with a track record of consistently exceeding quota.
- Proven ability to generate pipeline and create new opportunities within early‑stage/greenfield enterprise accounts.
- Experience with multi‑stakeholder, value‑based, solution selling; strong discovery, business case alignment, and competitive positioning skills.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation) and executive presence.
- Outstanding time management; comfortable managing numerous requests and priorities.
- Collaborative teammate with strong work ethic; creative problem solver who adapts to change.
- Tools: Salesforce (required); familiarity with Clari, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Tableau preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.
