We believe that culture is the compass to success and so our Slack Values are woven into the fabric of all we do. We seek outstanding talent that is eager to do the best work of their life while supporting others in doing the same!

We are in search of a Demo Engineer that will help to build and lead one of the most valuable sales assets: a demo environment! This is the core customer facing demo template used by Solutions Engineers, Account Executives, and others across the company. This individual should be passionate about crafting and performing demos, have deep knowledge of Slack and a desire to chip in to the greater good. If this sounds like it might align with your background, why not apply?!

What you will be doing:

  • Build the world's best demo environment and tools for the Sales organization

  • Provide thought leadership on demo development and execution

  • Increase SE efficiency by reducing time required to configure demos

  • Track, research and implement solutions to issues affecting those using the demo environments

  • Document changes and supervise progress toward goals

  • Become an expert in the Slack platform and deliver creative ways to bring integrations to life

  • Supervise and respond to inquiries, test, track and resolve issues

  • Find opportunities for automation and develop specifications for new tools

What you should have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of applicable engineering experience.

  • A positive approach that embraces standard methodologies for software management and reliability, including unit testing, code review, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting.

  • A validated history of thriving within a software development team, even if your roles have included traditional operations and/or infrastructure management duties.

  • Strong command of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.

  • You possess hands-on experience running full-stack infrastructure, i.e. networking, storage, virtualization and/or host hardware, configuration management and packaging.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; an interest in delivering compelling presentations

  • Familiarity with navigating an API and Slack app development

  • The technical capability to understand system integrations, data migration, and implementation considerations

Nice to have:

  • Experience acting as a Full-Stack Engineer with a strong emphasis on Backend Engineering.

  • Exposure to large code migration efforts.

  • Knowledge and an affinity towards the Demo Engineering space.
