TransUnion is looking for a Brand Content Strategist & Copywriter who understands the importance and value of a strong brand and story. As a creative leader you will be a strong strategic thinker with a robust knowledge of branding, writing, and advertising. You will play a critical role, sometimes acting as creative director, sometimes acting as messaging strategist, always bringing TransUnion’s brand messaging and positioning to life in compelling concepts, narratives, messaging, and copy.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Copywriting, Journalism, Communications or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in brand marketing, creative direction or copywriting, with at least 3 years in a branding or marketing agency
  • Ability to create, maintain and enforce brand guidelines, especially calling out when content is off brand
  • Ability to work across a matrix and manage feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Passion for storytelling, branding, and driving emotional connections with audiences
  • Portfolio and/or writing samples that demonstrate a mastery of creative verbal expression on a wide range of marketing and branding projects
  • Strong understanding of content mapping, messaging maps, and other content strategies
  • This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Work with the brand, design, and content teams to develop themes, messaging, and positioning strategies for enterprise narratives.
  • Turn messaging strategies into campaign concepts and written content for social and other channels, including web, video, and other marketing communications with the goal of driving increased TU brand recognition and favorability across regions, verticals, and audience types (B2B/Consumer).
  • Facilitate creative briefing and direction with creative teams to develop engaging content and concepts. You'll ensure that the content produced aligns with the strategic vision and objectives defined in the brief.
  • Create compelling and relevant creative concepts, "grabby" headlines and body copy that cuts through clutter to enhance brand recognition, preference, and engagement.
  • Support the upskilling of our existing content creators by reviewing their work and coaching them to elevate their writing craft. You’ll serve as a critical reviewer of enterprise and highly visible marketing and corporate communications.
  • Guide the evolution of our brand, voice, and strategy.
  • Enforce brand governance and quality control by ensuring that all materials are of the highest quality, on-brand, and aligned with our brand narrative, writing style, tone of voice and brand standards.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and educate associates across the enterprise on the value of branded content and its impact on brand awareness and perception.

Pay Scale Information :

The salary range for this position is $94,700.00 - $156,200.00. *The salary range for this position reflects the general range of compensation for this job and does not include our bonus incentive(s). This position is eligible for bonus incentive(s). At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations.
