The Director, Health Equity Strategy is a high-visibility leadership role that offers the opportunity to shape how a global pharmaceutical leader addresses healthcare disparities in the United States. Working at the intersection of scientific innovation and social impact, you will join a dedicated team of professionals committed to advancing health equity across all facets of Sanofi's operations.

As part of this collaborative team, you will partner with colleagues across Corporate Affairs, R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and external organizations to create sustainable solutions that address systemic barriers in healthcare access and delivery. Together, you will leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to advance health equity in unprecedented ways while building meaningful partnerships with community organizations and public health institutions. Main Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Develop and execute comprehensive health equity strategies aligned with Sanofi's mission and business objectives

  • Provide strategic guidance on health equity considerations across therapeutic areas and business functions

  • Identify emerging health equity trends, challenges, and opportunities in healthcare delivery and access

Health Equity Integration & Implementation

  • Partner with Corporate Affairs, R&D, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to identify & develop solutions to help address systemic barriers in healthcare access and delivery

  • Design and implement programs to improve health outcomes in under-resourced communities

  • Establish metrics and accountability frameworks to track progress and impact of health equity initiatives

Strategic Partnerships & Community Health Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with community health organizations and stakeholders

  • Develop partnerships with schools of public health to address structural barriers to wellness

  • Represent Sanofi in health equity forums and contribute to industry-wide initiatives

Research & Insights

  • Lead research initiatives to understand healthcare disparities and identify intervention opportunities

  • Analyze and apply deep understanding of social determinants of health impacting therapeutic areas of focus

  • Generate insights to inform program design and resource allocation

Technology & Innovation

  • Leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to advance health equity

  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in healthcare and their potential impact on health equity

Team Leadership & Organizational Impact

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to embed health equity considerations across the organization

  • Promote a culture of inclusion and health equity awareness

About You

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors level degree required

  • MD, JD, MPH, MBA and/or MPP or equivalent experience preferred

  • 10-12 years of experience in health equity, population health, community health, or related fields

  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing health equity strategies

  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems and social determinants of health

  • Track record of building successful partnerships with diverse stakeholders

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, particularly AI applications in healthcare and health equity

Required Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of health equity principles and best practices

  • Excellence in relationship building and collaboration

  • Strong analytical and research capabilities

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to influence without direct authority

  • Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders

The salary range for this position is:

$206,250.00 - $343,750.00
