Zone Business Director, Dermatology – WEST ZONE

Job Description: The Dermatology Zone Business Director (ZBD), US Dupixent reports to the National Sales Director – Dermatology. The role is responsible for delivering business results for assigned Zone through leadership and management of sales efforts for the Dupixent Dermatology franchise. The ZBD is responsible for leading a regional field organization and executing on the commercialization of Dupixent in partnership with sales leadership and colleagues from Regeneron, our alliance partner for Dupixent.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high-performance team of Regional Business Directors (RBDs) and Area Business Managers (ABMs) to achieve business objectives within the Zone

  • Work to identify, interview, hire, and retain a best-in-class sales team

  • Drive the performance of Dupixent, specifically within Dermatology

  • Drive forward projects and initiatives at the zone level to optimize the sales team’s performance

  • Strategically assesses and identify critical analytics information needed to ensure achievement of sales objectives

  • Refine the culture, structure, and future direction of Dupixent’s Derm field sales force

  • Effectively partner with Regeneron sales leadership to deliver on initiatives and strengthen the performance of Dupixent

  • Work across the internal matrix team (marketing, operations, access, medical) to provide insights and help develop solutions for opportunities in the marketplace and field matrix teams to include Field Reimbursement, Thought Leader Liaisons, Regional Account Directors, Market Access, etc.

  • Create a compliant environment that challenges, motivates and develops team members to reach optimum performance and potential

  • Prepare zone business reviews and ensure crisp execution of strategic/tactical plans

  • Set clear objectives, motivate, mentor, and assess performance and skill level to develop future leaders within the sales organization

  • Identify, develop, and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders on a zone level

  • Provide strategic customer insights to the commercial team to develop and grow the Dupixent franchise including atopic dermatitis, prurigo nodularis, and future indications

  • Develops strategies and tactics in collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize return on investment

  • Develop Zone budget allocations and ensure that Sales Teams take a disciplined approach to investment

Basic Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree required

  • Minimum of 12 years in healthcare, biopharmaceutical sales, and/or marketing experience with at least 4 years of sales director/manager experience in pharmaceutical sales desired or equivalent

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time throughout their Zone and to meetings as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Dermatology and/or biologic or specialty experience strongly preferred

  • Documented success in pharmaceutical leadership with a proven track record of delivering exceptional sales results

  • Launch experience in specialty care and biologics

  • Alliance/matrix partnership experience

  • Experience with Sanofi Immunology (Dupixent) business unit preferred

  • Energetic, driven, dynamic leader with strong strategic, analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and leadership skills preferred

  • Excellent motivational skills and ability to lead and empower Regional Business Directors, and Field Development Directors effectively

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, and resolve conflict

  • Demonstrated effective results by leading and managing projects

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment

  • Must achieve and maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and procedures, and require the same of his/her Team

The salary range for this position is:

$236,250.00 - $341,250.00
