Main Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible to design and execute preclinical research strategies to evaluate the efficacy and mechanism of action of mRNA candidates using primary cell cultures and animal studies.
Responsible for identifying the unique innate and adaptive immune responses induced by vaccines using cutting edge immunology approaches to predict the potency and reactogenicity of vaccine candidates.
Responsible for performing experiments, generating data, performing data analysis and contributing to detailed analysis of innate, humoral, and cellular immune responses to candidate vaccines.
Coordinate and assist in execution of in vivo studies, which may include handling, sampling, and sample processing from laboratory animals.
Work independently utilizing various experimental techniques, with a willingness to implement new technologies and protocols.
Understand project goals and identify own role in achieving them.
Document all work appropriately in electronic lab notebooks and perform laboratory support activities such as maintaining equipment and ordering lab supplies.
Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with members of other functional groups within the organization.
About You
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or master's in immunology, virology or related field with minimum 1 year of experience in laboratory.
History of publication/presentation in a relevant field would be a plus.
Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
Should have experience any of the virological and immunological assays (eg- isolation of immune cells from peripheral blood, mammalian cell culture, virus neutralization assays, Flow cytometry, Luminex assays, and ELISA).
Previous experience with primary cell culture and animal model development would be considered a plus.
Proficient in the use of Excel and Prism graphing and statistical software for analysis.
Experience in spectral flow cytometry including experience with the associated software packages (e.g., FlowJo).
Expertise with aseptic technique is required, preferably including cell culture.
Experience with and comfort in handling pathogens requiring up to BL2 containment is required.
Experience in serological assays (pathogen neutralization, ELISA) is required.
Experience in Luminex, and other 96-well plate-based assays is preferred.
Experience with automation platforms is a plus.
Ability to work as part of a team, follow directions effectively and manage multiple tasks is critical.
Ability to independently exercise judgment in daily duties, plan and execute experiments is plus.

The salary range for this position is:
$73.500,00 - $106.166,66All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
