CMC Biologics Drug Product Development and Manufacturing is focused on the development of safe, stable, patient-centric biologic drug products and manufacturing processes. Our team works from lead candidate identification and selection through clinical development and commercial launch.

The Winter/Spring 2026 Co-Op/Intern will be part of Global Drug Product Development and Manufacturing organization, supporting biologic drug product formulation and process development. The Co-Op/Intern will be exposed to laboratory-based studies working on different facets of drug product development, including formulation and process development, compatibility in-use studies and drug-device compatibility, across multiple modalities including monoclonal antibodies (mAb), multi-specific antibodies, therapeutic enzymes, and fusion proteins. The Spring 2026 Co-Op experience can include both liquid and lyophilized products, several medical devices, creation of databases and data structures, and characterization of protein solution from early phase 1 through phase 3 drug product development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, compile, and present data to mentors and manager to drive decision making for platforms and workgroups.

  • Support laboratory studies, management and safety programs.

  • Utilize good documentation practices in maintaining electronic lab notebook entries and authoring robust technical reports.

  • Support technological application development and implementation, including iLab and other work packages.

About You

Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical, biomedical, mechanical or biochemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027

  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with analytical and biophysical characterization techniques such as HPLC, HIAC, MFI, CE-SDS, cIEF, and various spectroscopy methods.

  • Basic statistical data analysis understanding. Previous experience in formulation, process or lyophilization development is a plus.

  • Ability to learn new skills, team and project oriented with strong motivation and work ethic, good communication skills, flexible mindset to support a fast-paced team environment.

  • Fluent in English
