Production Supervisor

Why do we need you ?
The shift supervisor is responsible for supporting a safe working environment in area of responsibility at all times including correcting or reporting unsafe acts or conditions through appropriate channels of resolution. The supervisor is the primary communicator between production line personnel and upper management. The shift supervisor must supervise and maintain operations of production lines including determining shift workstations, managing production schedule changes, reducing panel weights, increasing Xtore, DDS, and NDC compliance, increasing regrind reuse, managing conflicting priorities, and organizing maintenance repairs to minimize downtime. Additionally, administrative tasks such as payroll and end of shift reports must be completed each day. Occasionally, shift supervisors will be tasked with participating on or running a WCM team.
Essential Functions:
- Lead, facilitate and direct line personnel in the manufacture, packaging, and material handling of siding and accessory products.
- Promote and facilitate team-based initiative to continuously improve safety, product quality, production processes and customer services performance.
- Observe extrusion personnel for effectiveness, safety performance, efficiency, performance and compliance to policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Promote an atmosphere of continuous improvement toward safety, quality, customer service and productivity.
- Monitor quality performance to ensure conformance with VSI and ISO standards
- Train and motivate personnel to comply with plant policies regarding safety, conduct and product quality.

Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Work Experience
- 2+ years in an extrusion facility (Preferred)
- Previous leadership experience in union environment (Preferred)
- SAP (Preferred)
- Microsoft Suite (Required)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (Required)
- Excellent decision-making skills (Required)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities (Required)
