Why do we need you ?

Analytical Technicians II are responsible for accurately and safely performing physical, thermal, and chemical testing utilizing established standard methods for 8 or more of the following techniques: MIP, BET, XRF, XRD, Camsizer, TGA/DTA, Laser PSD, Water Absorption, Crush Testing, Drop Testing, Water Stability, LOI, Dimensional, Attrition, Packing Density, ICP. They may also conduct basic calibration, verification or maintenance operations per documented procedures.

Analytical Technicians II must be able and willing to learn new techniques via face to face training and following documented procedures. They must be willing to ask questions or raise concerns if uncertain. They must be willing to work as a member of a team to achieve team goals and KPIs. They must interact directly with internal customers (R&D engineers) to resolve issues and questions. They must be detail oriented and have good time management skills. They are generally organized.

Analytical Technicians II must be able to work under limited supervision. They must be able to ensure tasks are completed on time while identifying opportunities for optimization. They work to gain the trust of their peers and internal customers.

Schedule Hours: Wednesday - Sunday Day Shift 8-Hour Day

  • Performs physical, thermal, and chemical testing utilizing established standard methods for 8 or more of the following techniques: MIP, BET, XRF, XRD, Camsizer, TGA/DTA, Laser PSD, Water Absorption, Crush Testing, Drop Testing, Water Stability, LOI, Dimensional, Attrition, Packing Density, ICP.
  • Calibrated and maintains equipment per established work instructions.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working area

To make sure nothing is forgotten

  • High School Diploma or equivalent including math and science classes required
  • Technical college level science courses preferred
  • Bachelors of Science preferred
  • Experience in a laboratory environment operating advanced analytical equipment required
  • Basic knowledge of conventional chemistry, math and science with ability to accurately interpret data required
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques used in the lab: (MIP, BET, XRF, XRD, Camsizer, TGA/DTA, Laser PSD, Water Absorption, Crush Testing, Drop Testing, Water Stability, LOI, Dimensional, Attrition, Packing Density, ICP) preferred
  • Must be able to recognize problems and identify and implement solutions required
