Job description

Within the Quality Assurance Program Wheels and Brakes department at Safran Landing Systems, you are the main point of contact for aircraft manufacturers regarding quality matters. Your mission is structured around the following areas:

1. Aircraft Manufacturer Relationship
Be the preferred contact for aircraft manufacturers on quality aspects and assist Program Managers in this field.
Build and maintain a relationship based on trust with aircraft manufacturers.
Prepare, coordinate, and monitor customer audits, consolidate requests for corrective actions and their processing.
Ensure the effective and lasting implementation of selected actions.
Communicate the customer's voice internally.

2. Consideration of Aircraft Manufacturer Requirements in Development
Support the preparation of commercial offers regarding quality aspects.
Analyze aircraft manufacturer requirements, establish and maintain quality deliverables by deploying them internally through Program Quality Plans and/or to the supply chain via specifications.
Plan and ensure the consistency of quality deliverables for technical projects (Quality Assurance Plan, Industrial Validation File, etc.).
Support the preparation and participate in Program (Prompt) and Client milestones (quality and compliance of deliverables and expectations).

3. Product Compliance and Quality Performance in Serial Production
Establish quality performance reports for programs, identify areas for improvement, and manage associated improvement plans.
Manage the handling of quality events occurring at aircraft manufacturers and in service (Quality Escape, Deviation) and ensure communication with aircraft manufacturers.
Ensure causal analyses are processed, corrections to aircraft manufacturer feedback are made, and associated communication is carried out.

On-site for interactions with the Production.
Occasional travel to the aircraft manufacturer and production sites (4 to 5 times per year).

Candidate skills & requirements

Requirements for the position:
Graduate of an engineering school, with skills in the mechanical field.
At least 8 years of experience, including significant experience in customer relations and project management.
Proven ability in cross-functional management.
Native English speaker of fluent in English.

Personal skills:
Methodical, persistent, and possessing strong analytical and synthesis skills.
Autonomous, available, responsive, and dynamic.
Excellent interpersonal skills, easy communication, and negotiation ability.
In terms of facilitation: able to manage a meeting and lead a discussion.

The following are considered advantages:
Knowledge of the aeronautical field
Knowledge of metallic materials and surface treatments
Proficiency in Quality tools and methods (8D, FMEA, Audits, etc.)
Familiarity with EN910X standards and Part 21 regulations
Knowledge of APQP/PPAP
Knowledge of French language
