In the role of Import Compliance Specialist, you'll play a pivotal part on our Trade Compliance team.

.Additional description
• Import Facilitation: Manage the import and export processes to ensure full compliance with U.S. and foreign customs regulations.
o Classify all products accurately using the HTSUS (High Tariff Schedule of the United States).
o Conduct compliance audits and implement post-summary corrections.
o Manage duty drawback processes where applicable.
• Database & Tariff Management: Maintain the parts database for correct product classification; monitor and communicate tariff regulation changes.
• Financial Reconciliation: Coordinate with the Finance team for Customs and Boarder Protection (CBP) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) statement processing to ensure timely payments.
• Broker Coordination: Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely customs clearance.
• Training & Development: Support compliance training internally and help develop training programs.
• Research & Rulings: Investigate customs rulings for compliance assurance; submit binding rulings as needed.
• FTA & PGA Management: Determine Free Trade Agreement eligibility and assess Participating Government Agency requirements.
• Procedure Implementation: Develop procedures and control systems for global trade compliance.
• Regulation Monitoring: Stay updated with customs and government agency regulations.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in International Trade
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of HTS classification experience. Proven experience in in-bond regulatory compliance.
Computer Skills:
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Other Required Skills:
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Ability to understand Engineering drawings
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail
• Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate.

Additional Preferred Qualifications/Skills: (not required)
• Developing and auditing compliance programs.
• Over 5 years of customs brokerage experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in international logistics compliance.

The expected salary range for this position is between $74,850 - $117,620 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
