Job Summary

The Performance & Transformation Director of SED North America is responsible for all SED Avionics North America activities (R&T, Programs, Sales, After Market, support Functions, Integration and divestiture projects) and supporting the transformations needed to achieve the GBU's (Actuators and Avionics) strategic objectives in North America. These transformations will be brought by mergers and acquisitions impacting SED North America for Aeronautics activities, by growth ambitions and competitiveness objectives that affect all functions of the organization and requires revisiting our operating model, processes as well as the values that drive our behaviors.

Essential Job Functions

• Help build the target operating model to meet the Avionics and Actuation GBU's challenges in North America.

• Build with stakeholders and change agents, the transformation plan in line with the Avionics and Actuation GBU's strategic challenges.

• Contribute to establish the conditions for enhanced cooperation between the various SED teams contributing to the Avionics and Actuation GBU's activities within the framework of Global Reach.

• Support teams in their adoption of the strategic vision, to ensure alignment of meaning and consistency of action.

• Support all the industrial transfers to secure our M&A commitments from Sherman acquisition.

• Build plan for improving the Avionics and Actuation GBU's competitiveness and operational performance and ensures its implementation.

• Contribute to the deployment of operational excellence.

• Act as an expert in change management methods and practices to ensure sustainable performance.

• Create and implement transformation strategies that bring short, medium, and long term value to the avionics GBU.

• Ensure that plans are known, approved and aligned with the GBU's global objectives.

• Ensure that innovative methodologies and ideas are deployed to deliver long-term value.

• Act as an individual contributor with broad influence and responsibility within SED.

• Interact with the Avionics and Actuators GBU's and SED executives to foster the global reach integration of SEDA and IDD.

• Levels of involvement ranges from strategic to operational.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of expertise from an accredited institution.
• 8 to 10+ years of progressive experience in performance and transformation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Advanced knowledge of experimental techniques, industrial statistical technique, and designed experiments
• Advanced knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies through Lean Six Sigma training or certification, Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Project management experience
• Demonstrated management skills leading professional employees
• Knowledge of the Lean/Continuous Improvement culture and processes a must
• Master's degree preferred
• Knowledge of AS9100 preferred
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Travel Specificity
Potential travel between Irvine, California and other locations up to 25%.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the office. Constantly operates and use a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier/printer. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The ability to observe, identify and assess details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds across office for various needs.

Work Environment
The work environment is in an office. Noise level in the office is typically quiet.

Experience in relevant Business sector
Experience within aerospace industry a plus but not required.
