Job Description
As an Aerodynamics Expert, you will play a key role in the innovation and optimization of aircraft engine compressor technologies within our design teams. You are the strategic expert who guides and supports R&T (Research and Technologies) projects and new product development, while ensuring the performance and the designs of aerodynamic systems.
A key focus will be on the design and technology maturation for the low pressure compressor developed for the new engine architectures in the CFM RISE program.
Your tasks include:
-Providing your technical expertise throughout all product life stages: for R&T products, in development, or already in production and in service, validating team results, and ensuring the technical compliance of projects ;
-Auditing and validating technical choices during design reviews and product validation for compressors ;
-Contributing to the definition of R&T roadmaps by imagining future technologies and design methods required to achieve the long-term strategic vision ;
-Maintaining and developing the design team's expertise by leading workshops, representing Safran Aero Boosters within the Safran Group, and acting as a mentor for future generations of experts ;
-Ensuring knowledge management within the teams by implementing tools based on clients' feedback and training teams regarding new design practices ;
-Supporting teams in critical projects by providing your expertise to resolve technical crises and ensuring the quality and the safety of our products ;
-Ensure a strong technical partnership with universities and research centers by developing your network and collaborating on research projects.

Job Requirements
Your technical skills:
-An Engineering Degree, with a specialization in aerodynamics ;
-Over 10 years of experience in the aerodynamic design of aircraft compressors or engines with an understanding of the complete product cycle, from design to customer support ;
-Advanced expertize in compressor arodynamics and a good understanding of the performance and operability of complete engines ;
-Familiarity in mechanical part design techniques ;
-Proficiency in aerodynamic simulation tools and methods ;
-Fluent in technical English for communication with international counterparts, with the willingness to quickly acquire a functional level of French for navigating our Knowledge Management resources and daily interactions within our subsidiary ;
-Knowledge of aerothermal heat exchangers is a plus.
