Occupational Summary: The HR Manager is responsible for leading and developing their HR team to develop and deliver people strategies, policies and processes in support of business objectives and values. Serves as a consultant to business leaders on Human Resources matters. Ensures, through the HR team, effective delivery of efficient, excellent, customer-focused HR service. This position works independently with minimal oversight.

A) Ensures a thorough understanding of the business, in the interest of building an effective and productive HR vision, objectives, programs, systems and working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, at all levels of the organization.
B) Develops and manages, utilizing workforce analytics and working with leaders, an approach to talent management focused on forecasting, full-cycle recruiting, candidate experience, talent mobility and retention.
C) Responsible for leading and coaching HR and leaders to develop strong community and college relations and initiatives that develop the Safran brand, community awareness, and establishes a pipeline of talented candidates.
D) Provides human resources insight and guidance on organization issues and business implications.
E) Drives continuous process improvement and simplification activities within HR and across the business by applying Lean practices, acting as a role model and ensuring the team's participation on corporate sponsored kaizen and other project teams, providing personal leadership and involvement.
F) Collects and analyzes qualitative and quantitative data, interprets and promotes findings that evaluate HR initiatives and influences business decisions and recommendations.
G) Keeps abreast of legislation affecting human resources, trains team and leaders as needed on these matters, and monitors company policies and practices to ensure compliance.
H) Develops thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote a diverse and inclusive workforce.
I) Maintain Human Resources Information Systems records by managing the Human Resource Information function; establishing systems and managing records, while maintaining confidentiality.

Job Requirements

Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Experience and Technical Knowledge: Eight to ten years' (8-10) experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial setting, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Professional Skills:
• Must have knowledge of state and federal employment law.
• Must possess the ability to run and analyze HR reports and data.
• Demonstrated success and experience consulting on and driving HR functional areas.
• Requires advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Must possess ability to learn and enforce safety standards for an industrial/ manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of fair labor practices and union negotiations procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and customer focus skills.
• Demonstrated success in Project Management.
• Demonstrated ability to bring new solutions to issues.
• Must have the ability to generate written and verbal communication and to operate required office equipment.
• Ability to read and review written communication.
• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

P) Improve human resource staff effectiveness by coaching, counseling, developing, and disciplining employees as needed; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; and inspiring a continuous improvement and learning mindset amongst the team.
Q) Contribute to the organizations effectiveness by offering information and opinion as a member of the management team; integrating objectives with other functions; accomplishing related results as needed.
R) Protect employees and organization assets by establishing and enforcing safety practices; providing safety communication and training.
S) Perform other related duties as required.
