Retool has grown revenue 10x in the past three years. We’ve learned a lot, iterated rapidly on our process and approach, and added many customers to the Retool community. We’ve also laid the foundation for our inbound and outbound sales development motions with new systems, workflows, messaging strategies, and core teams in San Francisco, New York and London.
Our revenue and business goals are aggressive, and we’re laser-focused on scaling our hiring, our processes, and our team to support these goals. The problems Retool solves are varied, and the customers we work with span every vertical and hundreds of use cases. We’re looking for a leader who can build and scale a world-class, highly technical SDR team to help us further accelerate our growth this year and beyond.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You’ll be an integral part of the GTM leadership team and own the process for generating sales qualified opportunities. You’ll lead a team of highly motivated inbound and outbound sales development representatives and focus on coaching and developing the team, refining and building on our outbound strategy, and partnering cross-functionally to identify additional opportunities for pipeline generation. You’ll represent SDR team performance cross-functionally and to our executive team. You’ll bring purpose and drive to the team while coaching them in becoming best-in-class SDRs.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH:
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Sales, Marketing, Recruiting, and Operations teams to shape the vision and direction of sales development at Retool. And, of course, you’ll be working with, and managing, the growing inbound and outbound SDR teams.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Own Retool’s inbound and outbound sales demand generation strategy, identify areas for improvement in our approach, and build new messaging and workflows to ensure the team is properly trained/equipped to successfully perform against our goals.
- Analyze SDR team activity and performance data to find opportunities to improve qualification and success rates with new tactics, tools, and campaigns.
- Determine staffing levels to support annual goals, recruit new SDRs, and lead the recruiting process to shape and grow the team.
- Motivate individuals and the team to exceed targets through coaching and mentorship.
- Accurately forecast and report on the state of your business to guide focus across Sales Development, Marketing, and Success.
- Stay close to content and product launches at Retool, and regularly update outbound messaging and tactics to reflect our expanding value proposition.
