About the Role:
We’re looking for a hands-on Sr. Trust & Safety Analyst to champion user safety as we build cutting edge study tools and incorporate the latest in AI technology. Working cross-functionally throughout the organization on everything from academic integrity to content moderation issues, you’ll be responsible for assessing potential risks, providing guidance based on best practices, and helping to evolve and scale our current policies and systems. As a motivated self-starter, you will own projects from end to end and have a positive impact in the lives of our students and teachers every day.
This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco office.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the development and evolution of Quizlet’s Trust & Safety policies, including our Honor Code and Community Guidelines
  • Track developments surrounding the ethical use of artificial intelligence, academic integrity, student privacy, dangerous online speech, and the intersections of the above to inform our decision-making
  • Partner with the Product and Engineering teams to provide timely guidance on our Trust & Safety policies and to develop new product features that ensure our platform remains a trusted learning environment for our users around the world
  • Work closely with the Support Operations team to manage policy enforcement matters, including content moderation issues
  • Collaborate with the Data Science team to identify and monitor Trust & Safety KPIs
  • Partner with the Marketing team to bolster Quizlet’s brand as a trusted learning environment
  • Work closely with the Legal and User Operations teams to drive alignment between regulatory requirements, policy requirements, and operational workflows
  • Develop and provide training to internal teams on Quizlet’s Trust & Safety policies

What you bring to the table:

  • 5+ years experience in a Trust & Safety role with a focus on content moderation and/or digital/online safety
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Engineering
  • Strong research and data analysis skills, including experience working with SQL or equivalent
  • Experience in risk assessment and converting ambiguous business challenges into actionable plans
  • Excellent judgment and ability to work independently
  • Empathy for users and curiosity for their learning needs
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with AI safety, especially content moderation issues related to large language models
  • Familiarity with and interest in edtech tools and academic integrity issues
  • Fluency in French, German, or Spanish

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $110,000 - $140,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
