Overview

The Insights Associate Director is responsible for media, brand. and consumer research for a large financial services client. They will be responsible for using research and data techniques to answer client business questions and executing deliverables through a breadth of datasets and appropriate analytic techniques, storytelling and data visualization.

Associate Directors are expected to use data to quantify campaign performance, answer key business questions and inform media planning and buying through a greater understanding of consumer’s needs. Further, this person will be responsible for working with additional Insights team members and resources as necessary.

This position requires both strategic and tactical skills set with an eye for numbers, intellectual curiosity, proficiency at problem solving, strong command of both traditional and digital media and the ability to make complex topics relatable.


Responsibilities

  • Architect and manage innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with client research, insights, and analytics teams to gain a deep knowledge of business goals and challenges
  • Define KPIs and build frameworks that capture campaign performance, inform optimizations, and influence future plans
  • Execute measurement and primary research focused on ad/media effectiveness, brand health and consumer behavior that capture media performance
  • Mine client data sets for insights and application
  • Facilitate advanced targeting and data use in media planning strategy
  • Provide research leadership for clients and the internal team
  • Pioneer innovative approaches to address complex research and measurement challenges
  • Execute measurement focused on ad/media effectiveness, brand health and consumer behavior that capture campaign performance
  • Develop POV, papers, and journal articles to publish and present
  • Answer client questions and creating client-ready presentations to presenting at client meetings
  • Proactively educate internal and external clients on value of consumer insight research
  • Evaluate new and current data partners, and identify new approaches to ensure our research is cutting edge
  • Lead and support media teams using syndicated data and proprietary tools to drive media targeting and budget allocations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in media/marketing research, consumer insight, business consulting, or digital advertising research/analytics/ insight
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, advertising, business, engineering, statistics, economics, sociology, or similar discipline
  • Expertise in interrogation and application of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data sets
  • Experience with syndicated and customer data environments
  • Experience with multiple methodological approaches for consumer, media and brand insight
  • Advanced knowledge of the measurement vendor marketplace and able to evaluate new
  • Experience in Financial Services a plus
  • Requires excellent project management, organization and communication skills
  • Strong grounding in traditional and digital media advertising effectiveness
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, GoodData, Datorama is a plus

Compensation Range: $106,780- $153,405 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
