Overview
Our strategy function is embedded at the core of the organisation. We operate as a shared strategic and knowledge capability, working closely with creative, CX, media and technology colleagues on a daily basis. Our role is to ensure that brand strategy is clear, relevant and actionable - and that it holds across channels, products and experiences.
As a Senior Brand Strategist, you will be a strategic leader within the organisation, responsible for shaping and owning brand strategy across complex client engagements.
You combine deep expertise in brand positioning, architecture and brand-led growth with solid experience of working in digital and technology-influenced environments. You are not expected to be a technical specialist, but you are comfortable operating in contexts where products, platforms and systems shape how brands are built and experienced.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, a leader within interdisciplinary teams, and a key contributor to the strategic knowledge and perspective of the organisation.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Lead and own complex brand strategy and transformation engagements.
- Act as a strategic advisor to client leadership teams, building long-term, trusted relationships.
- Shape brand positioning, brand architecture and portfolio strategies that support long-term growth.
- Translate brand strategy into clear strategic direction across communication, digital channels and experiences.
- Work closely with creative, CX and technology colleagues to ensure strategies are grounded and executable.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams across the Power of One, aligning strategy with creative and delivery.
- Ensure high strategic quality, clarity and coherence across presentations, workshops and deliverables.
- Contribute to new business development through senior strategic thinking and opportunity shaping.
- Act as a senior knowledge resource within the organisation, contributing frameworks, perspectives and thought leadership.
Qualifications
We believe you bring:
- A relevant university degree in business, humanities, communication or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 8 to 12+ years) in brand strategy, consulting or agency environments.
- A strong track record of leading brand strategy engagements at a senior level.
- Experience working in digital-first or technology-influenced contexts, either client-side or agency-side.
- The ability to collaborate confidently with designers, product owners and technical specialists.
- Strong strategic judgement and the ability to connect brand ambition with organisational reality.
- Experience owning senior client relationships and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Commercial understanding and experience contributing to business growth and pitches.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in senior-level presentations and facilitation.
- A collaborative, pragmatic mindset and comfort operating in a matrix organisation.
