How You’ll Make an Impact
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Engineering Manager develops and supports engineers, providing coaching and enabling professional growth. You will lead end‑to‑end delivery, optimize agile processes, plan resources, and ensure teams execute effectively against product and business objectives. You will translate organisational and product strategy into clear goals and measurable outcomes, proactively removing obstacles and shaping team structure, workflows, and operating mechanisms for sustainable performance. The role requires close collaboration with the product trio to drive alignment and cohesive execution across teams. A solid technical foundation will allow you to support decision‑making and ensure alignment with broader engineering objectives. Your focus on building a collaborative and inclusive culture will help in nurturing teams that align well with Epsilon’s values and goals.
What You’ll Achieve
- Own end‑to‑end talent management including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, coaching, and succession planning
- Guide teams to set and deliver on objectives aligned to product and business strategy.
- Foster innovation, autonomy, operational excellence, and accountability across your teams.
- Ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery while improving execution standards.
- Drive cross‑team initiatives, align stakeholders, and remove systemic blockers.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, including senior engineering and product leadership, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Lead continuous improvement of engineering processes and encourage feedback‑driven iteration.
- Champion innovative solutions that streamline operations and enhance scalability.
Who You Are
- What you’ll bring with you:
- Experience leading engineering team/s with responsibility for results, planning, and people management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management, including delivery ownership, prioritisation, risk management, and cross‑team coordination.
- Experience in facilitating the growth and development of team members, leading performance management processes, and hiring initiatives.
- Solid understanding of software development processes and standards (including Agile), with the ability to adapt these practices to support evolving team needs.
- Demonstrated experience in fostering collaborative and inclusive team cultures, promoting harmonious work environments.
- Experience in strategic priority setting, with the ability to align team efforts with broader organisational objectives.
- Desirable:
- Technical background as an Engineer or similar role, and the ability to apply technical judgment when making decisions, assessing trade‑offs, and guiding teams.
- Experience working with product-led organisations and an understanding of the product trio.
- Experience collaborating with senior leadership, shaping execution strategies, and driving multi‑team initiatives.
